Valentine's Day should be avoided: Pakistan President tells countrymen
Islamabad, Feb 13 (IBNS); Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain has urged people not to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
He said observing the day is not a part of the Muslim tradition.
Speaking at a function to pay tribute to Pakistan Movement leader Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar on his death anniversary, Hussain was quoted as saying by Dawn News: "Valentine’s Day has no connection with our culture and it should be avoided.”
Valentine’s Day will be celebrated across the globe on Sunday.
