Maharashtra: Covid-19 infects over 1,000 in Aurangabad

Aurangabad/UNI: The Covid-19 tally in Aurangabad crossed the 1,000-mark with cases reaching 1,021, district administration officials said on Monday.

Of the fresh 59 cases, 27 are female, the officials updated, adding that out of 1,021 cases, 31 have succumbed to the virus, while 312 have recovered.

Several areas of this Maharashtra district have been declared as red zones.

The area-wise break up of the fresh 59 cases is as follows: Paithan Gate, Sabji Mandi (1), Kiradpura (1), Seven Hill Colony (1), N-6 CIDCO (1), Baijipura (1), Roshan Nagar (1), Nyay Nagar (3), Bahadurpura, Banjara Colony, Street No. 2 (4), Hussain Colony (4), Pundalik Nagar (2), Hanuman Nagar (1), Sanjay Nagar, Street No. Five (1), Himayat Bagh, N-13 cidco (1), Madani Chowk (2), Sadaf Colony (1), Silk Mill Colony (8), Maqsood Colony (6), Juna Mondha (11), Bhavani Nagar ( 5), Himayat Bagh, Jalal Colony (3), Begampura (1).

On Sunday, the lockdown here was extended till May 20 with stricter preventative measures to contain the spread of the pandemic.
