Mumbai, Aug 12 (IBNS): Fifteen months ago it stepped into the world of fashion through the platform of Lakmée Fashion Week. Today, 6Degree, has signed a two-year deal with LFW as its official strategic partner wherein the 6Degree Stage One will be the key highlight.

The strategic association will enable 6Degree to build brand equity on a global front and grow its revenue significantly.

The partnership for the next four seasons is beginning with Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/ Festive 2016.

One of India’s first fashion talent and tech startups, 6Degree was launched in 2014 by Nikhil Hegde and Amit Bhardwaj to connect like-minded people across the global fashion community.

Since its inception, it has enabled professionals from the fashion eco-system to come together and collaborate for new business opportunities, to launch brands and showcase their creations by partnering with multiple fashion events across India and Asia.

By entering into an alliance with Lakmé Fashion Week, 6Degree endeavours to give the young and emerging designers empanelled with it an upgraded platform to present their fresh and cutting- edge styles.

Commenting on the association, Nikhil Hegde, Co-Founder & CEO, 6Degree said, “In our country, the creative design talent is absolutely amazing and needs to be brought forth. We endeavour to support promising talent in every possible way."

"Through this alliance, 6Degree will facilitate designers to showcase new and emerging trends and initiate a greater connect with consumers. Moreover, with the growing popularity and success of Lakmé Fashion Week, the introduction of the 6Degree stage is the perfect way for us to promote our brand identity and enhance salience as the ultimate fashion tech platform,” said he.
