Afra Tafri, Kolkata's new gastro brew pub promises unlimited fun

Launched this week, the gastro pub, is situated on Camac Street and is a joint venture of Raajiv Nathany, Sachin Saraff and Sandeep Goenka of Orange Food & Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

Chef Ranveer Brar, beverage Consultant and master mixologist Shatbhi Basu, and brew master Ishan Grover are the pillars of this new age gastro brew pub.

Ranveer Brar promised to juxtapose Indian and global cuisine on the menu, with quirky-named dishes adding to the fun factor.

So don't be surprised to find Akkad Bakkad Kukkad, Mushroom Chai, Desi Mac 'N' Cheese, The No Nonsense Pizza, Sweet Nachos, Mashi Pishi Tiffin and so on.

Shatbi Basu believes that if a drink does not sing in your mouth it is not a good mix.  So let her take charge of your potion, from eclectic and classical cocktails to unspiked drinks.

The USP of Afra Tafri is in its brewery, serving freshly made craft beer.

Said master brewer Grover, “We are designing some amazing recipes which Kolkata has never seen and apart from the regular beers which we do, we are also going to experiment on local flavours and every month come up with some new flavours.”

Contemporary and funky decor marks the space.

The place is divided into the bar, DJ console, seating zones, a smoking zone and a stage for performances.
