Flying Air India this Ganesh Chaturthi? Here’s what’s waiting for you in the lounges
Tata Group-owned Air India is celebrating the spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi with a specially curated Maharashtrian culinary experience across its lounge network in Mumbai and Delhi.
Through a vibrant Maharashtrian Food Festival and festive mithai offerings, the airline is bringing guests closer to the rich flavours, traditions and cultural heritage of Maharashtra.
Beginning 14 September 2026, guests visiting the Air India (Adani) lounge in Mumbai can savour an authentic regional menu featuring some of Maharashtra's most beloved dishes. Curated to offer a true taste of the state, the menu includes favourites such as Tomato Saar, Mumbai Masala Sandwich, Khamang Kakdi, Veg Kolhapuri, Bharli Vangi, Masale Bhat, Shevgyachi Amti, Malvani Fish Curry, Kombdi Hirwa Masala and Kolhapuri Chicken Biryani as part of the lunch and dinner buffet.
Throughout the day, guests can also indulge in iconic street food and snack offerings including Misal Pav, Sabudana Vada, Kothimbir Wadi, Thecha Paneer Tikka, Rawa Fish Fry, Bread Cutlet and Matar Karanji.
To mark the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, a special festive mithai experience will be curated for a period of 11 days starting 14 September. The celebratory menu will feature traditional Maharashtrian sweets such as Ukadiche Modak, Puran Poli, Karanji, Mango Kalakand and Dry Fruit Wheat Halwa.

To add a contemporary touch to India’s rich traditions, guests will get to enjoy a selection of artisanal modaks in unique flavours including Gulkand, Kesar, Orange Chocolate Butterscotch, Sugar-Free Dates & Dry Fruit, Ragi Nutty, Carrot Creamy and Berry Cheesecake.
The celebrations extend to the Delhi International Maharaja Lounge, offering the warmth of festivities to guests across both key hubs.

Through this specially curated offering, Air India aims to create a memorable and immersive experience that reflects the warmth of Indian hospitality while celebrating the country's rich regional traditions.
