Apple to repair iPhone 12 models with audio problems free of cost

Cupertino/IBNS: American technology company Apple has said it will repair its iPhone 12 models, which have audio problems, free of cost, media reports said.

The company said iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices, which were manufactured between Oct 2020 and Apr 2021, have an audio problem.

"Apple has determined that a very small percentage of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices may experience sound issues due to a component that might fail on the receiver module. Affected devices were manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021," the company said in its website.

"If your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro does not emit sound from the receiver when you make or receive calls, it may be eligible for service." it added.

The company has, however, said it will charge users for any other issue related to the devices in question.
