Kolkata/IBNS: Actor-MP Mimi Chakraborty was the showstopper in a show which showcased Tanishq's pujo collection of jewellery, Aishani, Sunday.

Speaking about her choice of jewellery in daily life, Mimi told India Blooms, "It depends on my mood and the situation where I am. In my daily wear, I will just wear my hoops or just rings in my fingers or a small gold chain."

But what's during Durga Puja?

"During Durga Puja, it has to be authentic Bengali jewellery," the Bengali actor said.

This year's collection celebrates strong and resilient women of West Bengal.

Aishani took the inspiration from the pujo elements shiuli and kash phool the franchise of which marks the beginning of puja, grandeur of terracotta temples and intricate shola work.

Speaking about the launch of Aishani, Alok Ranjan, regional business manager- east, Tanishq, said, "Through our pujo collection this year, we have made a humble attempt to pay an ode to the fearless deity within every woman of Bengal who are a reflection of the Goddess Durga, drawing strength from her."

"Tanishq is celebrating their stories and shining the spotlight on their fiercely expressive and culturally expansive side," he added.
