Enjoy a sumptuous Bengali New Year spread at these two luxury addresses in Kolkata

Kolkata/IBNS: If you are planning to eat out this Bengali New Year, here are two restaurants who not only promise a lavish spread but also ensure that all pandemic related safety protocols are maintained.

JW Kitchen, the popular diner of JW Marriott Kolkata, has curated a special Bengali menu with touches of international flavor for April 14 and 15.

Highlights from the menu include ‘Posto Chicken Roulade’, ‘Roasted Wild Mushroom with Blueberry Confit and Arugula’, ‘Bhetki Macher Cutlet’, ‘Sufiyani Paneer Tikka’, ‘Roasted Whole Black Snapper with Lemon Butter Sauce’, ‘Golbari Kosha Mangso’ and ‘Nawabi Murgh Rezala’ to name a few.

Besides, there will also be several live counters dispensing Chaat, Mongolian Stir Fry, Kolkata Mini Kathi Roll, and Fish Fry, as well as a desserts counter.

The Poila Baisakh special buffet spread will be available for lunch and dinner at Rs 2,241 (all inclusive).

The all-day diner Kava at Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata has decided to connect Kolkata with Amritsar with a spread that offers a selection of dishes from West Bengal and the Punjab.

On one hand, you can enjoy ‘Mochar Chop’, ‘Fish Finger’,  ‘Phulko Luchi’, ‘ Narkel Diye Cholar Dal’, ‘Dhokar Dalna’, ‘Shukto’, ‘Basanti Pulao’, ‘Golbari Style Kosha Mangsho’, ‘Dal Makhni’, ‘Rosogollar Payesh’, ‘Bhapa Mango Sandesh’ and more.

On the other hand, dig into ‘Chicken Kali Mirch Shorba’, ‘Patiala Shahi Handi Mutton’, ‘Patiala Shahi Handi Paneer’, ‘Wagah Border Chicken Biryani’, and more.

On till April 15, this special spread is available for brunch (12.3pm to 3.30pm) and dinner (7pm to 11pm). On April 15, the price is pegged per head at Rs 1200 plus tax.
