Kolkata, Aug 13 (IBNS): With the festive round the corner, Sasya, one of Kolkata's popular luxury designer store, held a special show at their Wood Street store, recently.

Titled 'Captivating Coutures', it was a visual feast of attractive designer wear that would warm the hearts of young women who love to go out and party, be it Durga Puja or Navaratri.

Rachit Agarwal, Director - Sasya, said, “Moving away from the traditional saris, Sasya has tried to direct all attention towards a delectable ensemble of designer wear featuring some traditional and some Indo western looks from some of India’s top designers to make each day and each moment colorful and memorable."

Some of the popular names whose designs were showcased were Mrunalini Rao, Sahil Kochhar, Sunita Nagi, Sonal Kabra, Rajdeep Ranawat, Shyam Narayan Prasad and Sounia Gohil.

As the custom goes, young women dress differently on the different days of the festival. The show too emphasised on this aspect.

For example, the vibrant yellow Lehenga choli by Hyderabad-based Mrunalini Rao seemed perfect to set the puja mood. Or take the deep maroon kurta  in rich silk and georgette lehenga  designed by Shyam Narayan Prasad, which seemed perfect for a grand Maha-astami style statement.

Mayank Agarwal, Director- Sasya, said, “Sasya, in its constant endeavour to bring in something new came out with this concept of moving away from the routine Puja wear. Sasya believes in showcasing exclusivity and luxury. Its own in-house collection has an impressive range of designer wears, prêt wear, casuals, ethnic, wedding, bespoke tailoring for those seeking something rare-something different."

Sasya’s in-house desigerwear were also shown as part of the Puja collection, 2017.
