Luxury Pret Bridal wear dazzled on the ramp from Shyamal and Bhumika at LFW

Mumbai, Feb 4 (IBNS): A Shyamal and Bhumika show is always a grand offering of dazzling bridal wear and they ensured that their collection at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2018 was another memorable line. We had the gorgeous Kangana Ranaut walking the ramp for this very creative husband and wife team.

Their haveli-like stores in Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad have been favoured fashion destinations for garments that feature heritage crafts and textiles.

The designing duo presented “Wonderland” a luxury Prét bridal collection that will be a glorious offering for the most important day of the bride’s life.

Creating picture perfect visuals on the ramp for bridal wear that can only be termed as dream-like at a fairy tale wedding ceremony, Shyamal and Bhumika expertly crafted their ensembles with abundant emotions.

The lush hand woven silks, satin and tulle in serene pastels like pink, grey, violet and blue, were given the ultimate embellishments. Showers of beads, crystals and pearls were lovingly crafted on the creations and flowed down from the bodice to gradually end at the hemline or covered the complete garment.

Giving the luxury Prét bridal wear a global impact, the pair added sumptuous satin and appliquéd organza that ended in sensuous ruffled hemlines. The bridal trousseau also revealed embellishments that heightened the beauty of the attire. The Shyamal and Bhumika signature cutwork was prominent on the elegant saris, flared skirts and fashionable day dresses.

The lehengas, cholis, dupattas and kurtas were given a gentle western touch, while the line of gowns with encrusted bodices, ruffled, flared skirts and flowing organza dream of a creation had hits of gold and contrasting floral work.

Making a fashion statement was the silver-grey satin silk cape jumpsuit with delicate floral edge embroidered in Resham. The saris in satin and tulle, some with ruffle organza borders were visions of utter beauty.

The six men’s wear entries that were eye-catching comprised grey tulle shirt, with embroidery, an appliquéd linen jacket with sequins, draped collar linen jacket, tulle shirt with raw silk trousers, and matka silk jacket with an antique gold pitta border.

Bringing the show to a glorious end was the very effervescent and graceful Bollywood queen Kangana Ranaut, who gilded in a dazzling ivory encrusted gown with a tulle veil.

When a bride and her groom want to choose the ultimate trousseau for the day when they take the Saat Pheras; then getting lost in “Wonderland” by Shyamal and Bhumika will be a fabulous sartorial journey.

Nude makeup was the key focus of this look, created by Lakmé Makeup expert Daniel Bauer. Dewy, natural skin complemented with soft browns on the eyes from the Lakmé Absolute Nude Beach Eye shadow Palette, and lips from the Nude lipstick collection completed the look.
