Kolkata, Dec 14 (IBNS): The final day of Blenders Pride fashion tour marked a glamorous evening with designers Pankaj & Nidhi and Namrata Joshipura in the stunning presence of Sushmita Sen as the showstopper.
The day presented an array of stylish couture and mesmerized the crowd with groovy electro-rock beats of Shaa’ir + Func and Grain.

Susmita Sen stole the limelight being the showstopper for Namrata Joshipura.

Speaking about style. diva Sushmita Sen said: “Style is an aspect of your life. People are stylish when they are good in every aspect of life. I am the one who does not follow trends. I am different and I follow my own path.”

“My style icon is Madonna. I love Madonna because I feel her music is her style statement," she added.

“Fashion changes every year. I come from two decades ago and now I see everybody wants to remain so fit. India is now discovering new designers,” said Sushmita Sen.

Commenting on the city, she said, “To me Kolkata is home. I get so much love from Kolkata and I would love coming back to Kolkata again and again.”

The designers Pankaj & Nidhi who launched their label eight years ago showcased their amazing collection of ‘The glass house by the sea’.

“We developed this collection for Blenders pride fashion tour because we always wanted to do something very new. Our collection is all about the sharp contrast of mirrors and glass panes, flowers, dragon flies, sunset and clouds integrated pictorially and digitally mastered prints,” said the designer duo Pankaj & Nidhi.

Namrata Joshipura’s collection was based on pattern print and textured.

“My collection is a very monochromatic collection with box of colours thrown in. The dresses are of black and white prints with beautiful embroideries and prints. I have also used some jewellery,” said Namrata Joshipura.
