Kolkata/IBNS: Srijit Mukherji and his contemporaries will be sharing their own experiences in the world of filmmaking in a young writer's maiden book.

Soujannya Das, an undergraduate student and a PR professional, ventured into writing to record contemporary filmmakers' journeys, which she feels have been captured less in pages.

The writer has already finished interviewing Mukherji for the book, which was announced at the South City Starmark last week.

Speaking on the book, Das says, "The book will provide a spectrum of directors both established and new.

"It will be a record of bengali cinema where directors will talk about their first film, struggles they face to find a producer, difficulties they face to make a film in Bengal taking the budget constraints we have here, how bengali cinema has evolved over the years etc."
