Writer Chetan Bhagat turns 39
Bhagat is the author of bestselling novels - 'Five Point Someone' (2004), 'One Night @ the Call Center' (2005), 'The 3 Mistakes of My Life' (2008), '2 States' (2009), 'Revolution 2020' (2011), and 'What Young India Wants' (2012).
Four of his books have inspired Bollywood films including the superhit film '3 Idiots'.
His '2 States' has been recently made into a film starring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and is running in the theatres successfully.
Being an investment banker, he left the job to pursue his dream of becoming a writer and incidentally all of his books are bestsellers.
He is one of those writers who have inspired the young Indians to read novels and remains to be a popular writer among the youth.
He is undoubtedly termed 'The Youth Icon' with his wide range of influence among the young generations, not only through his novels but by his columns and inspiring speeches.
Bhagat writes op-ed columns for popular English and Hindi newspapers, including the The Times of India and Dainik Bhaskar, focusing on youth, career and issues based on national development. Bhagat voices his opinion frequently at leading events in India.
