3 LeT militants killed in Kashmir gun battle

Srinagar/UNI: In a major success, security forces shot dead three militants, including the alleged killer of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat and woman artist Amreen Bhat, in an encounter in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, police said.

Additional Director General of Police, Vijay Kumar said Lashkar-e-Taiba's Lateef Rather alias Abdullah was among three militants killed in an encounter at the Waterhail area of Budgam.

He termed the killing of three “a big success”.

In a tweet, the Kashmir Zone Police informed about the elimination of the three terrorists and that arms and ammunition were recovered from their bodies.

Later they also revealed the identity of the terrorists.
