Noida (UP): The Uttar Pradesh Police detained 35 college students after breaking up a rave party at Noida's Supertech Supernova, following complaints from residents about drug use and disorder at the event, media reports said.

The chaos began when residents reported a group of students engaged in a drug-fuelled party at Supernova, India Today reported.

The situation escalated after someone allegedly threw a bottle of alcohol from the party flat, eliciting a protest from the residents of Supertech Supernova in Sector 94.

The residents confronted the group over their activities.

Residents claimed that an entry fee was charged for the party, with singles paying Rs 500 and couples Rs 800, and invitations were sent via WhatsApp messages.

When the police arrived, they questioned those involved and seized several bottles of alcohol from the flat.

A case has been registered against 35 people, including five organisers. Hookahs and expensive alcohol were also recovered from the scene.

The police are currently investigating the incident.
