All sections of people have voted for us: Kumar

Patna, Nov 8 (IBNS): Following a powerful show in the Assembly polls, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar , who is all set to return to power in the state, on Sunday said all sections of people have voted in favour of the Grand Alliance.

"All sections of the society have voted for us," Kumar said after polls.

Thanking people for voting in favour of them in the Assembly polls, Kumar said he hoped that the Centre will cooperate with his state.

"We hope that the Centre is going to help us," Kumar said.

His alliance partner RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said  he will tour the country to create a movement against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"We are going to  start a movement against forces dividing the nation," Yadav said.

"We will move to the path of development under the leadership of Nitish Kumar," he said while addressing a press conference here with Nitish Kumar sitting beside him.

"We will remove the Narendra Modi-led government," Yadav said.

As per the latest trend, in the 243 seat Assembly, the  Grand Alliance, comprising Bihar Chief Minister Nitsh Kumar's JD(U), Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD and Congress, has grabbed 178 seats while the BJP-led NDA stood at the second spot with 60 seats. Others managed to retain 5 seats.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi also congratulated the winning side as his office Twitter page read: "Congratulations to the people of Bihar, to Nitishji,to Laluji,to the Congress leaders &karyakartas & the Mahagathbandhan on this victory."
