Assembly Polls: Congress leading in Rajasthan, MP, Chhattisgarh

Bhopal/Jaipur, Dec 11 (IBNS): As counting of votes continued for the assembly elections held in five Indian states, Congress is leading over the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.

In the politically crucial Rajasthan, where exit polls had predicted a Congress storm, Rahul Gandhi's party is leading in 86 seats.

The ruling BJP is ahead in 69 seats in the 199-seat Assembly.

The BSP is ahead in 2 seats.

In Madhya Pradesh, the Congress is leading in 75 seats while the ruling BJP is ahead in 60.

In Chhattisgarh, the Congress is ahead 45 seats while the BJP is leading in 24.

The BSP is leading in four.

In 40-member Mizoram assembly, the  Mizo National Front is ahead in 18 seats while the Congress is ahead in five. 

The TRS is leading in 82 seats in the 119-member Telangana assembly.  The Congress is ahead in 24 while the BJP is progressing in five seats.
