Bihar: New govt likely to take oath on Nov 20
Patna, Nov 10 (IBNS): After a landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly election, the new government by the Grand Alliance is likely to take oath on Nov 20.
The Nitish Kumar-led Grand Alliance comprising the JDU, RJD and the Congress swept to power on Sunday with 178 seats securing two-thirds majority in the 243-member Bihar Assembly.
While it is certain that Nitish Kumar is returning to power of being the Chief Minister, he will now have a tough time selecting his new council of ministers with Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD securing maximum seats in the Grand Alliance.
According to NDTV sources, Lalu Yadav is not expected to push beyond a point on portfolios. He could, they said, ask for a ministerial post for one of his two sons, both first-time lawmakers.
