Bihar polls: FIR lodged against Lalu Prasad for casteist remarks

Patna, Sept 29 (IBNS): A First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday for allegedly making casteist remarks, media reports said.
This came as the Election Commission found his remarks violative of the model of conduct ahead of the assembly elections in Bihar.

While addressing a rally in Raghopur, Lalu Prasad had described the assembly elections as a direct fight between "the backward castes and forward castes".

He also urged Yadavs and other backward castes to fight to defeat the BJP-led NDA.
