BJP holds protest march in Kolkata

Kolkata, Jun 18 (IBNS): Protesting against deteriorating law and order situation in the state and demanding a minimum supporting price for paddy rice, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday held a protest march and law violation programme in Kolkata's Esplanade area.

Huge numbers of BJP workers joined the rally which started from College Square area and ended at Esplanade in the city.

BJP leaders took part in the protest rally which was led by West Bengal BJP president Rahul Sinha.

After the rally, the leaders engaged themselves in law violation.

Setting up barricades, the police stopped the rally at Rani Rasmoni Road in Kolkata's Esplanade area.

BJP's WB state president Rahul Sinha said that no woman except West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee is safe in the state.
