Cash-for-vote case : TDP MLA Revanth Reddy's custody extended
Hyderabad, June 29 (IBNS) A city court on Monday extended the judicial custody of Telengana's TDP legislator A. Revanth Reddy till July 13 in cash-for-vote scam.
The court dealing with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) cases also extended the remand of two other accused Sebastian Harry and Uday Simha who had allegedly taken part in a move to bribe an independent legislator to vote in favour of the Telugue Desam-Bharaitya Janata Party candidate in Telengana Legislative Council elections.
As the judicial custody of the accused ending Monday, the ACB produced them before the court and sought extension of their remand, saying that the investigations in the case are at a crucial stage.
ACB had arrested Telugu Desam Party deputy leader in Telangana assembly Revanth Reddy on May 31 while he was handing over a bribe of Rs.50 lakh to nominated legislator Elvis Stephenson.

Police had laid a trap on a prior complaint by Stephenson.
