Congress names HK Patil as Karnataka Campaign Committee Chairman

New Delhi, Dec 22 (IBNS):  Former Karnataka Minister and Congress leader H.K. Patil has been appointed by the party as its Karnataka Campaign Committee Chairman.

The Congress made the announcement on Saturday.

"Congress President Rahul Gandhi has approved the name of H.K. Patil, ex-Minister, as Chairman of the Campaign Committee for Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, in place of D.K. Shivakumar, with immediate effect,"  the Congress said in a statement.

The party also tweeted: "Appointment of Chairman of the Campaign Committee for Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee."
