Father, daughter killed, three others injured in Guwahati road mishap

Guwahati, Dec 31 (IBNS): Two people of a family were killed and three others were injured in a road mishap at Khanapara area, outskirts of Assam’s capital city Guwahati on Sunday night, officials said.

According to the reports, the mishap happened on National Highway – 37 while a coal laden overloaded truck crashed with a Mahindra Xylo vehicle.

In the mishap, a person, who was identified as Sanjay Baruah and his daughter Darshana Baruah, were killed and Sanjay’s wife, another daughter and the driver of the vehicle were severely injured.

The injured persons were rushed to hospital.
