Following Sena's protest in Mumbai, India-Pak cricket board talks shifted to Delhi
Mumbai, Oct 19 (IBNS) Following Shiv Sena's protest in the office of India's cricket board in Mumbai, talks on an India-Pakistan series have been shifted to Delhi on Tuesday, media reports said.
Earlier in the day, talks were cancelled after activists of the Shiv Sena stormed into the office of BCCI in Mumbai just before its chief Shashank Manohar was to meet with his Pakistani counterpart Shahryar Khan.
Sena activists were seen crashing through the gates of the office in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium shouting anti-Pakistan slogans.
Manohar was to meet the Pakistan cricket board chief to discuss a bilateral series in December.
The Shiv Sena, which is in the government in Maharashtra partnering the Bharatiya Janata Party, says it will not allow any engagement with Pakistan because of terror attacks and firing on the border.
Rajeev Shukla, who has been the BCCI office bearer and is presently the chief operating officer of the Indian Premier League (IPL) condemned the Shiv Sena act on his Twitter page.
“Strongly condemns the attack on BCCI Office by Shiv Sena," he said.

Protests by the Shiv Sena has forced forced the cancellation of legendary Pakistani artiste Ghulam Ali's concert two weeks ago while its activists threw black paint on columnist Sudheendra Kulkarni in the last week for organising the launch of former Pakistan minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri's book.
