Former Mumbai Sheriff Nana Chudasama dies

Mumbai, Dec 23 (IBNS): Former sheriff of Mumbai and noted jurist Nana Chudasama passed away in the city on Sunday.

He was 85.

Several politicians mourned the death of the former Mumbai sheriff.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis tweeted: "Pained to know about sudden demise of eminent jurist,former Sheriff of Mumbai Nana Chudasama ji. My deepest condolences to his family & friends. His works & contribution for clean & green Mumbai, in various rehabilitation initiatives and health sector will be remembered forever!"

Union Minister Suresh Prabhu remarked: " Saddened to know about passing away of my friend #NanaChudasama spirited social leader,worked in many areas to promote public good.Founded #GiantsInternational involved citizens in social service.His cryptic messages on #MarineDrive in #Mumbai r legendary.Condolences @ShainaNC."

Mumbai Congress posted: " We are saddened by the death of Former sheriff of Mumbai and noted jurist Nana Chudasama. Our thoughts and prayers with his family members at this time of grief. "
