Four persons of a family died after consumed wild mushrooms

Guwahati, Apr 14 (IBNS) : At least four people of a family were died after consuming wild mushrooms in Assam's Sivsagar district on Monday evening, police said on Tuesday.

According to reports, a family of Lalit pathar area in Taukak tea estate under Sonari sub division in the oil riched upper Assam district had collected wild mushrooms from nearby jungles and consumed it on Sunday evening meal.

Four persons of the family fell ill and rushed to nearest Sonari PHC but doctor referred them to Assam Medical College hospital in Dibrugarh, where they died on Monday evening.
