Government condoles Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's death

New Delhi, Jan 7 (IBNS): The Cabinet in its meeting held here on Thursday expressed profound sorrow on the sad demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir who passed away at AIIMS in New Delhi.
The Cabinet observed silence for two minutes in the memory of Mufti Mohammad.
 
It was decided that the National Flag will fly at Half Mast in Delhi, capitals of all States and Union Territories on Thursday.  
 
The Cabinet approved to accord State funeral for the departed leader at Bijbehera, Jammu & Kashmir.  
 
"The Cabinet also passed a condolence resolution mentioning that in the passing away of Mufti Sayeed, the nation has lost an eminent and distinguished leader, a true nationalist and a stalwart from Jammu & Kashmir," a government statement said.
 
The Cabinet also extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
