Gujarat: 37 killed as bus falls in Purna River in Navsari district

Surat, Feb 5 (IBNS): At least 37 passengers were killed and 25 others were injured after a state transport bus fell into Purna river in Navsari district of South Gujarat on Friday, media reports said.
The accident took place when the driver lost control and plunged into Purna river in Navsari district.
 

According to reports, locals have also engaged themselves in the ongoing rescue operations.

About 25 people are admitted and are undergoing treatment.

The Gujarat government has announced a compensation of Rs. 4 lakh for the families of those killed.
