Heavy overnight rain floods Bengaluru, traffic

Bengaluru, July 29 (IBNS) : Incessant overnight rain deluged a vast part of Bengaluru on Friday throwing life out of gear, reports said.

The heavy downpour left many people stranded and marooned, prompting the authorities to engage boats to rescue people as vehicular traffic came to a grinding halt.

Meanwhile, Madiwal lake, one of the biggest lakes, has overflowen near  BTM layout.   The road, leading to the  Electronic city has been overflowing with rain water.

Disaster management  teams have been deployed at Kodichikkanahalli because residents could not come out of their apartments.
