Hema Malini criticised for leaving accident site without helping victims

New Delhi/ Jaipur, July 3 (IBNS) Bollywood Actress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Hema Malini has received flak for leaving the accident site even as a two-year-old child was killed in the car crash.

The incident took place near Dausa in Rajasthan on Thursday  while Malini was on her way to Jaipur.

The accident left her injured and she was rushed to a local hospital by her driver. Her assistant who was travelling with her, and the driver of her Mercedes also left with her.

Hema Malini is stated to be out of danger. 

The driver has been arrested for over-speeding and negligent driving after the actor's Mercedes car hit a Maruti Alto car killing a child and injuring two others.

The actress has been criticised for not reaching out to the victim's family.

One Hitendra Gupta tweeted: "I was witness..she immediately pulled curtain and flew in 2 min.. No ambulance in 30 mins..We arranged for auto..arrogant."

Another Jayshree Khadilkar posted: "#Hema malini does not help those injured by her car, n v elected her to serve the nation !!

There were five occupants in the Alto car - 2 women, 2 children and a man. A 5-year old girl child in the Alto car died in the accident while two of the remaining survivors were seriously injured.

Besides the driver and Hema Malini, two other persons were reported to be travelling with her in the star's luxury vehicle.

Earlier, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje expressed grief at the mishap. She tweeted:"Deeply saddened by the news of Dausa accident. I pray for the victims. We're making all efforts to provide immediate relief & medical care.
