Heroin worth Rs 28 crore seized from Siliguri bound bus in Assam's Bongaigaon

Guwahati,: Police seized heroin worth Rs 28 crore in Assam's Bongaigaon district and arrested  two persons, police said on Wednesday.

Based on secret information, police of Bongaigaon district had intercepted an inter-state bus in Gerukabari area on Tuesday night and seized 4.9 kg of heroin from the bus.

A police official said that, the market value of the seized heroin is estimated at around Rs 28 crore.

Police had arrested two persons who had boarded the Siliguri-bound bus coming from Shillong at Rangiya in Assam.
