High Court rejects Madan Mitra's bail
The bail was earlier granted by a lower court.
Mitra on Wednesday evening resigned from his post and sent his resignation letter to the chief minister.
According to reports, WB chief minister Mamata Banerjee accepted his resignation letter and has been sent to Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi for final approval.
Madan Mitra was arrested by CBI on Dec 12 last year, for his alleged involvement in Saradha financial scam.
