Jammu and Kashmir: 51 mm mortar shell found near Paloura, defused
Jammu/UNI: Police have found one 51 mm mortar shell near Paloura area here in the city outskirts.
Police on Monday said that one mortar shell of 51 mm was found near Paloura on Sunday evening following which a team of Bomb Disposal Squad was immediately pressed into service.
"The shell was seized and later was defused in river Tawi bed," they said.
The shell was found during digging for widening of road.
BSF headquarters is also close to the site from where the mortar shell was seized.
