Jammu and Kashmir: Encounter breaks out in Kulgam
Srinagar/UNI: An encounter broke out between the terrorists and forces in south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Wednesday evening, police said.
They said a gunfight erupted at Pombai village, when joint teams of forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO), following an input about the presence of terrorists.
"A contact has been established with the hiding terrorists. We believe 2-3 terrorists are trapped," a police officer in south Kashmir said.
The operation is underway, he added.
