Jammu and Kashmir: Village close to LoC celebrate ‘Har Ghar Tiranga'

Srinagar: ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ was celebrated in a far-off village close to the Line of Control in Uri area of Baramulla district with local residents actively participating in the event.

Officials said locals of the Gaggar Hill village organised a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ March on August 6.

The Indian Army too joined hands with them and assisted in making their initiative a success.

Little children proudly carried the national flag, which were then hoisted on rooftops of their homes.

“Active participation from youths, elders and especially kids symbolised a unique patriotism fervour in this part of Kashmir,” officials said.

Gaggar Hill village is remotely located close to LoC and has very limited access to basic necessities. The challenges faced by locals in this village are abundant.

“However, these hardships can and will never ever limit the sense of pride and patriotism of these citizens in little village towards our great nation,” they said.

“These positive winds of change in Kashmir will definitely flutter our Tiranga higher and higher.”
