Jammu/UNI: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel foiled an infiltration bid by neutralising three intruders and recovered haul of heroin close to the international border in Samba sector of Jammu region on Sunday morning.

"Three intruders (smugglers) have been neutralised this morning close to the international border in Samba sector," a BSF official said.

He said that 36 packets of heroin were also seized from the spot.

"On seeing a suspicious movement of infiltrators, our troops challenged them and on finding out their attempt to cross over into the Indian Territory, the personnel opened fire and successfully neutralised them," the official said.

"The troops are carrying out a search operation all along the international border," he added.
