Srinagar, July 24 (IBNS): A third grenade attack rocked Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar city on Friday, reports said.

The grenade was reportedly lobbed towards a mobile transmission tower.

More details are awaited.

In a fresh attack on telecom operators in the state, militants earlier lobbed two grenades at telecom offices in Srinagar on Friday, officials said.

According to reports, twin grenade blasts took place at an Aircel showroom and a Vodafone tower located at Karan Nagar Chowk and Batmaloo crossing respectively.

No injuries have been reported so far.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far.

A splinter group of the Hizbul Mujahideen, the Lashkar-e-Islam carried out the series of attacks on mobile towers in Sopore town of north Kashmir and killed one BSNL employee in the area in May this year.
