J&K: Security forces capture Pakistani militant

Srinagar,Aug 27 (IBNS) The security forces have captured alive a suspected Pakistani militant while three others were killed in a fierce gun battle in north Kashmir's Rafiabad town, police said on Thursday.

According to the police, three Lashkar-e-Toiba militants were killed in an encounter with the police and the Army at forest area of Rafiabad in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

Senior police officer in the area told IBNS that one Pakistani militant Sajad alias Abu Abaidullah, a resident of Balochistan, Pakistan was also arrested following the gunbattle that started in the forest area on Wednesday.

The police and the Army’s 46 RR, along with the additional reinforcement of 17 Jak Rif, 4 PARA, 35 RR, had intercepted the group of militants after it fled from Bijhama Uri while one of their associate was killed in the area on Wednesday.

Earlier this month, another Pakistani terrorist was caught alive by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir.

He was identified as Mohammad Naveed.
