Srinagar, Apr 18 (IBNS) At least two policemen have been arrested in connection with the killing of a youth in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, a police spokesman said on Saturday.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that Ct. Javaid Ahmad had fired with his service rifle on the directions of Incharge police party ASI Manzoor Ahmad, in violation of laid down SOP," the police spokesman said.

Earlier Magam police station had registered a muder case 34/2015 under sections 302,147,149,341,427 RPC

The spokesman further said that SHO P/S Magam Inspector Khursheed ur Rehman has been attached for lack of supervision.

A teenager was killed in police firing in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir near the summer capital of the state, triggering fresh outrage against forces and prompting the ruling government to order a magisterial probe.

The government Saturday ordered a magisterial probe into the killing of Suhail Ahmad (16) who fell to the bullets in firing by the security forces early this morning when they were protesting against re-arrest of hardliner separatist leader Masrat Alam at Narabal in Budgam district, about 15 km from Srinagar, official said.
