Kashmir truck attack victim dies, violence erupts

Srinagar, Oct 18 (IBNS) The conductor of a truck, who has been identified as Zahid Ahmed, injured in a bomb attack on a truck in Udhampur on Oct 9 died on Sunday, reports said.

He passed away at Safdurjung Hospital in New Delhi on Sunday.

Zahid and Showkat Ahmad Dar were injured as their truck was attacked by mob with petrol bombs, reports said.

Dar  was also admitted to a hospital for treatment.

The attack was reportedly occurred amid beef rumours.

Violence has erupted in parts of Kashmir following the death of Zahid.
