KCR is an agent of Narendra Modi-Amit Shah: Congress MP Anand Sharma
New Delhi, Dec 25 (IBNS): Congress MP Anand Sharma has hit out at Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for trying to form a federal front, accusing him as an agent of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Following Rao's meet with Naveen Patnaik and Mamata Banerjee, chief ministers of Odisha and West Bengal respectively, Sharma took to Twitter to call the Telangana chief minister "an agent of Modi-Shah".
Sharma tweeted, "KCR’s move to create a Federal front to effectively divide the combined opposition resolve to remove the BJP government from office is aimed to help BJP, more be design than by default. KCR is actually an agent of Modi-Shah combine to divide democratic and secular forces."

However, Sharma did not name neither Biju Janata Dal (BJD) chief Patnaik or Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata in his tweet.
After registering a landslide victory in the Telangana Assembly elections recently, Telangana Rastriya Samithi (TRS) chief Rao is meeting a number of regional political leaders in a bid to form a non-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), non-Congress front at the national level.
Rao, who is a strong antagonist of Naidu and the Congress, met Patnaik on Sunday to discuss his proposed front.

Answering a question on the Congress referring to the TRS as the BJP's B-Team, Rao said it had become a joke, to which Naveen agreed with an "exactly".
Briefing media jointly after the meet with Mamata, Rao on Monday said, "Non-Congress front is my mission. I will continue my effort. This is not a small matter. Wait for the right time. The dialogue continues."
However, Mamata's take on the alternative of the BJP rule is somewhat different to that of Rao.

While Rao is in favour of a non-BJP, non-Congress front, Mamata was not so repulsive to the idea of including Congress in the united front to dethrone the saffron party from power.
The TMC chief was also seen hobnobbing with Congress' present and former presidents, Rahul and Sonia Gandhi, particularly at the swearing-in ceremony of HD Kumaraswamy as the Karnataka chief minister.
In November, Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu met Mamata over the united front.
