KV Chowdary appointed as CVC

New Delhi, June 8 (IBNS) The Indian government on Monday appointed K.V. Chowdary as the Chief Vigilance Commissioner while

"Shri K.V. Chowdary (Indian Revenue Service:1978) retired Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has been appointed as the Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC), New Delhi," read a government statement.

T.M. Bhasin has been appointed as the Vigilance Commissioner.

"Shri T.M. Bhasin, Chairman & Managing Director, Indian Bank, has been appointed as the Vigilance Commissioner in the CVC, New Delhi," read the statement.

"The above appointments have been made for a term of four years from the date(s) on which they enter upon their office(s) or till they attain the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier," it said.
