Lance Naik Hanumanthappa's condition worsened: Army hospital
New Delhi, Feb 10 (IBNS): The condition of the Indian Army soldier , who was recovered days after he was buried under more than thirty feet of snow and ice after an avalanche stuck their post in the early hours of Feb 3, worsened on Wednesday.
"His condition has deteriorated despite aggressive therapy and supportive care," said a medical bulletin released by the Army Research and Referral hospital on Wednesday.
Lance Naik Hanumanthappa is undergoing treatment in a Delhi hospital.
"The entire team was in agreement with the management that the patient had undergone till now, and concurred with the future plan of management for him. He continues to remain extremely critical with evidence of oxygen deprivation to the brain on CT scan. There is evidence of pneumonia in both lungs. His multi-organ dysfunction state continues unabated. His condition has deteriorated despite aggressive therapy and supportive care," an earlier statement said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday visited Siachen avalanche survivor, Lance Naik Hanumanthappa, in hospital.
