Mumbai:  Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar on Monday said that he has tested positive for Covid-19.

This is the second time he has been infected with coronavirus.

In a tweet, he confirmed that his Covid test showed positive result.

Pawar said, “I have tested positive for Covid-19, but my health is fine. I am consulting a doctor. With your blessings, I will soon defeat it and return to your service."

"Anyone who came in contact with me, should be careful and get a corona test done immediately on any signs of symptoms," he tweeted.

Previously, in October 2020 during the first Covid wave, Pawar had been infected with the disease.
