Modi govt's top priority to all round growth in NE region: Amit Shah

Aizwal, Apr 16 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government would accord priority to the all round growth in the north eastern region, BJP president Amit Shah said during a rally held in Aizwal, the capital city of Mizoram on Thursday.
Addressing a party rally, the BJP president said that his party has always accorded priority to the economic development in the region including Mizoram.
 
"All round growth in the NE region is our top priority. We would accord priority to the skill development for the youth of the region, " Shah said.
 
"After the NDA came to power, the financial assistance to the region have been raised. For economic development in the region Modi government had given priority in the Look East Policy," the BJP national president said.
 
Speaking against corruption, the BJP  president said, "We have continued fighting against corruption and it will never be tolerated."
 
Shah began his maiden visit to the eight north eastern states from Thursday to strengthen the party organization in the region.
 
He is scheduled to visit Nagaland on April 17 and Manipur the following day.
 
On April 19, he would return to New Delhi from Imphal and visit to Sikkim on April 21.
 
He is scheduled to visit Meghalaya the following day and visit to Arunachal Pradesh on April 23.
 
On April 24, Shah will proceed to Guwahati and will fly to Rajasthan then.
 
He will return to Guwahati on April 26 and visit to Tripura on April 27 and return to New Delhi on next day.
