Mumbai: Fire breaks out in residential building, no casualty

Mumbai, Feb 27 (IBNS): A fire broke out at a residential building in Mumbai on Saturday.

The fire was first noticed at around 3.24 pm.

According to reports, 16 vehicles including, eight fire engines, five tankers and three ambulances, have rushed to the Tirupati Apartment where fire was spotted on the fourth floor.

PS Rahangdale, Chief Fire Officer of the Mumbai Fire Department, was quoted as saying by Mid Day: "The tower is ground plus fourteen story residential structure and currently fire is on fourth and fifth floors. A total of three lines are operational to douse the fire. One deputy fire officer, two additional deputy fire officers and four station officers are on spot overlooking the operations."

No casualty has been reported so far.
