New Delhi, Dec 3 (IBNS) The 17-year old juvenile convict in the 'Nirbhaya' rape case will be closely monitored after his release later this month, according to Times Now.

The channel also reported that the convict is likely to be placed with an NGO after the completion of his 3-year term at a probation centre.

This comes after Union Minister Maneka Gandhi said that the 17-year old, the youngest of the convicts in the 2012 Delhi gang-rape be monitored on a regular basis. Gandhi also expressed concerns over the punishment, though she maintained that the law was followed.
