One killed, five injured in Kashmir grenade attack

Srinagar, Jul 25 (IBNS) One person was killed and five others, including a CRPF jawan, were injured in a grenade attack by suspected militants in Anantnag district of south Kashmir.

Police said that suspected militants tossed a grenade at the Achabal bus stand, injuring a CRPF man and five civilians.

Muhammad Jabbar,an ice cream vendor, succumbed to his injuries while the condition of the rest is stated to be stable.

The attack comes a day after militants lobbed three grenades targeting mobile communication facilities in the city.

Meanwhile a senior police official told IBNS that the entire  area has been cordoned off and search operation  to nab the
attackers is going on.
