Parliamentary panel proposes double salary hike for MPs
Media reports said the joint committee,headed by Bhartiya Janata Party leader Yogi Adityanath has submitted its recommendations to the government.
It has also proposed an automatic pay revision mechanism for parliamentarians.

The panel is reported to have made around 60 recommendations in all.
At present, sitting MPs get a monthly salary of Rs 50,000. The panel has also recommended that the daily allowance of Rs 2,000, which they get for attending the House during Parliament sessions, should be raised substantially.
