PM launches Skill India Mission

New Delhi, July 15 (IBNS): Launching the Skill India Mission, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the country has to create structures and mechanisms to nurture youngsters which will enable them to find employment.

"We have to create structures and mechanisms to nurture youngsters, enabling them to find employment," Modi said.

"This initiative is not merely to fill pockets but to bring a sense of self-confidence among the poor..Through this mission we want to fulfil dreams of people & we want to do it in a structured way, taking states together," he said on the mission.

PM Modi is launching the mission on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day.

He said the country needs to give 'impetus to entrepreneurship'.

Modi said : "We want opportunities to increase. That is why we have not restricted ourselves to skills, we have focussed on entrepreneurship."
